Abstract

This study has been carried out to determine effect on success, retention and attitudes towards Science of 8th class students of course software and worksheets developed according to five stages model of constructivist learning approach on Photosynthesis and Respiration. Research was carried out with 8th class students studying in Erzurum Yunus Emre Primary School in the 2007/2008 academic year. In this study used a half-experimental method, it has been determined that the materials developed and applied according to five stages model of constructivist learning approach are more effective than those of traditional ways on students’ success, retention and attitudes towards Science on Photosynthesis and Respiration issues.
