EFFECTS OF GROUP GUIDANCE BASED ON CREATIVE DRAMA ON VOCATIONAL MATURITY SCORES OF STUDENTS IN HIGH SCHOOL

Abstract
This research was a split model. It was based on experimental study that aimed at showing the effectiveness of career guidance study with creative drama method of increasing on vocational maturity scores of high school students. The data were obtained from a sample consisting of adolescents who have low vocational maturity, 12 in experimental and 12 in control groups. Dependent variable was measured with the vocational maturity scale. For 8 weeks, one session per week, 90 minutes, career group guidance based on creative drama was applied to the experimental group. The three phases-preparations, animation and evaluation are taken into consideration in the program. In each session were applied improvisation, pantomime, role playing, group discussion and sharing the experiences. The data were analyzed with ANCOVA and paired samples t tests. Findings obtained with in the research. It was revealed that experimental group, trained for career guidance study with creative drama techniques had highest vocational maturity scores and this difference even continued after the 8 weeks period.
