Abstract

Many researches related to learning have brought up that learners can more and permanently learn in the environments appropriate to their individual learning modalities. Learning modality described, as learners' relatively permanent preferences about perceive the information. The aim of this research is develop a inventory, which can be used to identify the learning modalities. Sample is constituted by 256 high school and university students. Developed inventory measures the three learning modality -kinesthetic, auditory and visual. There are 16 items related to every learning modality. The paper consists of both the summary of the inventions related to the structure validity and reliability. Obtained inventions shows that the 48 items inventory can be used in Turkey conditions to identify the learning modalities of the high school and university students between 16-25 years old.
