UTILIZING INTUITIVE THINKING OVER SOCIAL STUDIES TEACHING

Abstract

In recent years, some educational scientists, especially in developed countries, have focused on new instructional approaches, methods and techniques. Some of those studies focus on drives of intuitions of human beings. Primary education is thought to be the most strategic stages in education. Because of the fact that Social Studies is the basic course, it is one of the effective courses in Primary Education. Therefore, the significance of the studies on the teaching of Social Studies increases considerably. In connection with the above views, this current study covers (a) intuitive thinking, (b) the role of the teacher in improving the intuitive thinking skill and (c) in the teaching of Social Studies utilization of intuitive thinking. Furthermore in this paper, it is assumed that, when teachers of Social Studies can have their learners utilize their intuitive thought, a more fruitful learning would be realized.
